doing good in the
Cederberg – and beyond

ABOUT US

our mission & objectives

The Goed Foundation was founded by Rob Templeton and a small, passionate team committed to supporting the communities of the Cederberg. From Wupperthal to Heuningvlei and the surrounding outstations, we believe meaningful impact starts with listening, learning, and building relationships.

“onse spruitjies”

The little ones of the Cederberg are the future of these communities. We support early childhood development and the dedicated women who care for and nurture them every day.

women farmers

The women farming this land carry generations of knowledge and care. We help connect their harvests to wider markets and create opportunities for long-term sustainability.

emergency relief

When floods or fires impact these remote communities, we work together to provide practical support and help families recover with dignity and care.

community support

From soup kitchens and water canals to rebuilding preschools, we focus on the projects and priorities identified by the communities themselves.

OUR WORK

key focus areas

Here’s where we’re currently focusing our efforts and why these initiatives matter so deeply to the people who call the Cederberg home.

“onse spruitjies”

Every child deserves a strong start in life. We support local caregivers and early childhood centres with the resources and support they need to create safe, nurturing spaces where children can thrive.

small farmers initiative

Farming has been part of life in the Cederberg for generations. We work with local women farmers to strengthen sustainable farming practices, improve access to markets, and celebrate the value of their work.

emergency support

In times of crisis, community matters most. We respond quickly with practical support and continue walking alongside families as they recover and rebuild.
